This page explains how to delete your Haloscan account and everything stored in it. It applies to the Haloscan mobile app (`co.haloscan.app`), published by Haloscan, LLC.
You do not need an account, a subscription or the app installed to make a request.
1. Open Haloscan and go to Settings. 2. Tap Delete my account. 3. Confirm with Yes, delete everything.
The deletion happens immediately. It cannot be undone, and we cannot restore an account afterwards.
Export first if you want a copy. Settings also offers a CSV export of everything you have entered, available whether or not you have a subscription.
If you no longer have the app installed, or you would rather we did it, contact us from the email address on the account:
Include the email address attached to the account so we can identify it. We may ask you to confirm the request from that address before acting on it. We respond within 30 days and usually much sooner.
Everything attached to the account:
Nothing is kept for our own use.
Where a copy cannot be removed the moment you ask — because it sits in a backup archive — we isolate it from any further processing and delete it when the archive next rotates. Backups are retained for no more than 30 days.
We may retain a minimal record of the deletion request itself where the law requires us to show that we acted on it.
Accounts created without an email address that have been inactive for 30 days and contain no information at all are removed automatically. An account holding any lab result, symptom log, medication, appointment or report is never removed this way.
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. A subscription belongs to the Google Play or Apple ID account that bought it, not to your Haloscan account, so it keeps billing after the data is gone.
Cancel it before or after deleting, whichever you prefer, but cancel it:
We cannot cancel it for you. Neither store allows an app to cancel its own subscriptions.
